Rechargeable, remote, 13 colors

A fire in a frosted tube that takes orders from a remote

A frosted cylinder on a flat white base with a flame that flickers inside it, run off a rechargeable battery instead of a wick. Pick one of 13 colors on the remote, set the timer, and it comes on by itself at the same hour every evening. Built for outdoor use, so it lives along the walk, on a porch step, or down in the fog where a cord would never reach.

Thirteen colors, one remote

The remote has a button for every color: orange and red for a fire, but also green, purple, and a cold blue if the graveyard side of the lawn wants a different glow. Three flame buttons across the top pick between its three modes.

Set the timer once

Five hours on, nineteen off, straight from the remote. Turn it on at dusk one time and it keeps that schedule on its own, which matters when you have a dozen other things to switch on every night in October.

No cord, no weather excuses

It recharges instead of eating disposable batteries, and it is waterproof, so a wet week does not mean hauling it back inside. Put it where the extension cord was never going to reach anyway.

Halloween night and the morning after

On the night, the frosted tube reads as a live flame from the sidewalk, and nobody has to go out and relight it when the wind picks up. Next morning, hit off on the remote, wipe it down, and it goes in a bin with the remote taped to the base. Charge it up next fall and it comes back out doing the same job. Five to seven days to your door, three to four on express.
